Moldavite is not a crystal in the traditional sense. It is a tektite formed when a meteorite struck the Earth millions of years ago. This gives Moldavite a very different energy to most crystals. I experience it as highly activating, fast moving and deeply transformative. It tends to bring things to the surface that are ready to be seen, healed and released.
Some people feel an immediate connection to Moldavite, others feel overwhelmed by it at first. Neither experience is right or wrong. Moldavite does not gently nudge. It accelerates change. This is why it has a reputation for being intense. In truth, it simply moves energy quickly. If you’re already in a period of change or inner work, Moldavite can feel like a powerful ally. If you are feeling fragile or ungrounded, it is best to work with it slowly and with intention.
Moldavite works strongly with the Heart Chakra and Higher Heart, helping to release old emotional patterns, attachments and ways of being that no longer align with who you are becoming. I strongly recommend grounding alongside Moldavite work, whether that is through Smokey Quartz, Black Tourmaline and Hematite or spend some time in nature (such as placing your bare feet on the Earth).
