Meditation 365 Challenge – Day 11
Day 11 of my challenge to meditate every day for a whole year and write / blog about my experience
Peace
I do appreciate that I’ve just come out of a wondrous meditation!
It is only the morning and a Monday at that, BUT I do feel that my word, for now is Peace.
During my meditation I was very aware of how rushy my thoughts were.
Darting here, there and everywhere whilst I struggled to centre.
So many of my clients and students ask me how do you not think whilst trying to meditate?
My response to that is, you can’t, we are humans and we think, constantly.
Once you have an acceptance of that during meditation then you can begin to control your thoughts.
Instead of them ruling the roost and telling you exactly how it is (mostly lies anyway I have to say) then you can begin to sense them settling. This will take time and certainly may not happen in your first few attempts.
BUT I do promise you, they will calm . You will be able to have control over them.
Just like watching a frustrated toddler having a tantrum. You could join in with the shouting match and escalate the drama. Or you could hold them calmly, keep them safe and wait for it to pass.
As it always does. Just as my thoughts eventually calmed and settled.
My crystals were still vibrating like crazy from their bathe and recharge in the freezing waterfall yesterday.
My mind was tending to mimic them whilst I sat there, but I kept on taking calming deep breaths and felt myself reconnect once more.
We’re just about to start the extension and the skip man was knocking at our door very early this morning.
Yet I could still feel Peace and calm amongst the chaos.
It feels like I’m walking slower than usual and more upright if that makes any sense.
I don’t feel like I’m spinning, falling sideways or screaming from the roof of my house.
I feel right here and very happy.
